KL Trip 2011: Day 2

On our day 2 in KL, we decided to spend the whole day in Pavilion as it's one of our favourite shopping malls in KL.

klaug2011day2-1
Pavilion during day time

klaug2011day2-2
Sephora outlet; bought my brush cleanser there :)

klaug2011day2-3
Tourists everywhere~

klaug2011day2-4
Star Hill; spot that LV store?

klaug2011day2-5
Police car; a friend of mine mistaken it as Evo =________=

klaug2011day2-6
Price of this car was not disclosed but they had made sure the interested parties to leave their details and contact numbers on their guest book; strategy?

As we did not get complimentary breakfast from our hotel thus we decided to have our breakfast settled in Food Republic.

klaug2011day2-7
Food Republic

klaug2011day2-8
Wide varieties of food stalls available here

klaug2011day2-9
I simply love the contemporary design of the food court and its cleanliness!

klaug2011day2-10
Penang famous street food

klaug2011day2-11
There were also restaurants lined aside next to the food court; above is a Japanese restaurant named Sushi Tei

klaug2011day2-12
This restaurant is named New Shanghai and it serves dim sum too; above shows customers choosing the types of dim sum dishes available for their breakfast

klaug2011day2-13
Sticky has an outlet in Pavilion basement

klaug2011day2-14
These are all jellies!

klaug2011day2-15
Chef showing off his skills at the La Mian food stall

Since it was almost lunch already thus I decided to order a bowl of la mian to try out for brunch.

klaug2011day2-16
Chicken Chop La Mian, RM10.30

klaug2011day2-17
Chicken chop with fried egg; served separated from the la mian

klaug2011day2-18
Oyster omelet from Thye Hong, RM9

klaug2011day2-19
Kopi-O from Toast Box, RM2.60

We continued shopping in the mall right after our breakfast and spent whole day in there!

klaug2011day2-20
Really love the designs and decorations of most restaurants in KL :D

klaug2011day2-21
Was so tempted to try this out but didn't think our pocket would allow us to haha

klaug2011day2-22
Molecule, a home accessories store

klaug2011day2-23
I didn't read these books so I still don't know the answers to these questions :P

klaug2011day2-24
Passed by Din Tai Fung and saw this. We thought it was pretty amusing as it seems like surgeons operating on xiao long bao haha!

klaug2011day2-25
Converse store

klaug2011day2-26
Watched this and I must say KL cinema's 3D quality is soooooooo sooooooooo soooooooooo GOOOOD! Damn high quality and the Goldenscreen cinema in Pavilion is HUGE!

klaug2011day2-27
Quicksilver~

klaug2011day2-28
Colorful flip flops

klaug2011day2-29
Like this a lot as it was very comfy when I tried it on but way too expensive! Didn't get it in the end.

klaug2011day2-30
Took pics in this store and kena complained by the staff

klaug2011day2-31
Batman's ride! Reminds me of "Arthur" hehe!

klaug2011day2-32
There was this area in Pavilion called Tokyo street (I think) and obviously, there were lotsa restaurants or stores selling Japanese related food, snacks and many other products.

klaug2011day2-33
Really cute!

klaug2011day2-34
Wanted to play this but didn't have any coins in hand :(

klaug2011day2-35
For a few times during our stay in KL, we were debating whether to try out this or not hehe

klaug2011day2-36
Guess what? This is actually a lomography store with lotsa different types of lomo cameras available for sale. It's named "The Click Shop". We were so so so tempted to get the Fuji Instax but ended up didn't cause we still find it pricey. Left the shop empty handed hehe

klaug2011day2-37
Before our trip to KL, I actually read a post by KampungBoyCityGirl reviewing this stall named Ochado so I thought I should give it a try too.

klaug2011day2-38
It seemed quite popular

klaug2011day2-39
We ordered one of its top ranked beverage named Roasted Tea with Azuki and 50% sweetness. It was RM5.90.

klaug2011day2-40
Few things that I noticed and I like about most bubble tea stalls in KL are that their straws are all wrapped which I strongly suggest all the beverage stalls in our country should do this too as this would lessen the risk of these straws getting contaminated. Another thing is that after taking order, the staff would print out the order on sticker and stick on the empty cup as this would reduce the chances of wrong order. I knew many places had already adopted this but so far not in Brunei. And with my recent experience in Each-a-cup, thought I should highlight it here.

klaug2011day2-41
I walked in with pocketful of ka-ching and I walked out this store like a pauper. Spent too much here! I still feel guilty even until now!

klaug2011day2-42
Boutique for voluptous ladies

klaug2011day2-43
Display outside Hermes

klaug2011day2-44
I seriously wonder what's behind the door haha!

After shopping for hours, we decided to have break for food hunting thus we ended up in Tony Roma's.

klaug2011day2-45
Tony Roma's

klaug2011day2-46
Knowing that it's popular for its ribs thus we ordered it without thinking much

klaug2011day2-47
Complimentary breads

klaug2011day2-48
Hubby ordered Pineapple Sunrise, RM8.90

klaug2011day2-49
And I ordered Shirley Temple, RM7.90

klaug2011day2-50
And here comes the main course! Rm69.90

klaug2011day2-51
Juicy ribs

klaug2011day2-52
Yummy!

After satisfying our tummies, we decided to walk over to Starhill to see see look look.

klaug2011day2-53
David Doff store

klaug2011day2-54
Not so much choices available in this LV store

klaug2011day2-55
Was surprised to see guests smoking in this indoor cafe

We then left Starhill as there were nothing much to see. Saw quite a crowd at Uniqlo and decided to join the crowd. In other words, shopping time!

klaug2011day2-56
Bought a few shirts for family and ourselves :P

klaug2011day2-57
Took this picture while sitting on a bench inside Fahrenheit88 to rest our legs

klaug2011day2-58
Pavilion at night; very beautiful isn't it?

We decided to walk back to Pavilion again to have our dinner in the Food Republic food court. And it was so crowded!!!

klaug2011day2-59
People mountain, people sea!

We finally made up our mind and decided to try out the teppanyaki thus we joined the queue. We actually waited more than 15 minutes before we were seated.

klaug2011day2-60
There were many choices available

klaug2011day2-63
We ordered Chicken chop and Sirloin steak as the staff highly recommended these

klaug2011day2-64
Soup

klaug2011day2-65
Herbal tea

klaug2011day2-61
There were 3 chefs available on that night and this is one of them

klaug2011day2-62
Our food was prepared by this chef

klaug2011day2-66
As the queue was really long and the chef wanted to save time by preparing food for several orders at once

klaug2011day2-67
Sirloin steak which was served with bean sprouts and vegies

Overall, it was quite delicious but we thought the portion could be more and if only the beansprouts and vegies were refillable, it would be even better!

Alright, so this pretty much summed up our day 2 in KL! Will update more soon~

You should go this place: http://withinmeitzeu.blogspot.com/2011/01/lot-10-hutong-at-bukit-bintang-k-l.html / http://www.iamthewitch.com/2011/08/04/10-lot-10-hutong/, Which is very near to PAvillion. I found this place by accident and they have the best beef noodles! Actually i read that the boss handpicked the best makan place in kl-selangor area and bring the people there.
