Another quick post for today.
As stated above, May Fang was introducing new set lunch promotion during my previous visit in early November.
There were few different types available and each came with different price tags. Actually it wasn't anything special except that it came with a can of soft drink. But there was this dish which Ein ordered that I found it uncommon. Kolo Mee with Spare Ribs! And it cost $5.80 per bowl (inclusive of drink)! Paying $3 for a bowl of Kolo Mee is quite expensive to me already and this girl was paying $5.80 for it hahahaha but she seemed satisfied with it so I guess the Spare Ribs did add bonus and made it worth!

I-Lotus, Rimba
Just a quick post today to show ya some foodie pics taken during my previous visit to I-Lotus.
My family and I planned to have dinner and since we have I-Lotus VIP card, we decided to have our dinner there. Surprisingly, they had changed the card policy and we, as their card member were unaware of it till we visited it that night =/
Before, cardholders were able to obtain special discount (I don't remember how much was it but I guess it was 10%) when dining there but they had changed this to points collection system. However, during promotion time such as buffet, cardholders are still entitled to special discount.
Alright, gonna do more revision for exam.
Buh-Bye!

AHOA Burger
- Unsure why but lately there have been this 'homemade burger' trend going on in our country. So far those that I know are Ahad, Taty's, Ahoa and Kapow. Out of these four, I've tried three except Kapow Burger (hope I can get to taste it soon!). And today, am gonna feature AHOA Burger!
Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my leftover 50% burger a lot! The meat patty didn't tasted like those processed meat to me. The meat texture is juicy and crunchy which could be due to the onions added during the process of meat seasoning.
It's really worth trying!!! ;)
Here's the directions to AHOA's stall and for your information, they have two stalls which one is located at Kg. Mulaut and another located at Kg. Bengkurong. Below are the information extracted from their Facebook fan page :)
- 1) Located: (Kg Mulaut)
Near To Surau Kg Mulaut... simpang 204.. U can see AHOA Burger's banner just beside the road....
Any Inquiries.... Call Us Or Sms Us At 6737101606
2) Located: (Kg Bengkurong)
No.8 simpang 66-19-33, Kg Bengkurong
Any Inquiries.... Call Us Or Sms Us At 6737111606
Business Hours:
11 am - 10.30 pm (Monday to Thursday/ Saturday - Sunday)
2.30pm - 10.30 pm ( Friday) - Products:
- MENU:
Burger daging biasa - $2.50
Burger ayam biasa - $2.50
Burger daging special - $3.50
Burger ayam special - $3.50
Burger kambing biasa - $3.00
Burger kambing special - $4.00

We had it takeaway...

That's why the burger doesn't look so appealing here but don't be deceived by its looks!

YUMMYLICIOUS!!!! (okay, I know I hold it upside-down, my bad :P)

Chilling with Mr. Squarepants!
Before Shin and Fox returned to UK, we had a mini gathering at Charcoal as they wanted to try out their food since Hubby and I love it so much.
Just when I thought it was just a normal gathering before the duo flew off, they gaveme another surprise again. An advanced birthday gift for me (it was Sept, before my birthday) as Shin wasn't able to spend birthday with me. The birthday cake which she made for me during our Italian night out at her place was enough to make me feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the whole world and then she bought a gift for me again. So touched can?!!
Before I opened up the wrapping, I was guessing it could be that thing which I wanted to buy off from internet. And when I finished unwrapping, I was right. Ring flash!!! Wanted to cry already lar! And obviously it was SKY's idea on getting Ring flash and this gift was contributed by 3 of them including Fox.
This is why I always feel fortunate to be surrounded by these lovely and wonderful friends of mine. They are always there whenever I need a shoulder to lean on and always there when I need someone to talk to *BIG WET KISSESSS*

Combo Platter (appetizers) - buffalo wings, nachos, onion rings and etc.

Wagyu Beef 300gm

Lamb Ribs ordered by Hubby

Fox's Lamb Shank + Lamb Chops

SKY with his American Mixed Grilled

Mr. Squarepants was there too!

In case you're curious, this is how the ring flash looks like after equipping it on my pinkie Fish Eye 2 camera. Greatest gift received this year! Fish Eye Cam from Hubby and Ring flash from my buddies!
After Charcoal we met up Alan and Yee Nee at Coffee Bean and stayed for quite awhile.

Busy googling traveling information for their TW trip

SKY trying out the ring flash =D

Caught ya dating with Miss Diana, Mr. Squarepants!!!

RMS Portview, Bandar Seri Begawan
Few days ago, Hubby mentioned that he wanted to dine at a place which provides cozy and relax environment and what came into his mind was RMS Portview.
Having located near to the jetty in Bandar, RMS Portview sure has got good view of Kampung Ayer and with its contemporary interior design sure can allow one to feel relaxed.
There weren't many patrons. In fact, there were only 2 tables occupied which one of it was us.
The other table was having steamboat which is one of RMS Portview's signatures.
I only learned that other than steamboat, other food which RMS Portview serves is similar to Fratini. And I only realized it when the waiter handed me over menu book of Fratini.
I knew both Fratini and RMS Portview are under RMS Groups but little did I know, both these two restaurants which named differently are serving same food except steamboat.
I always thought that RMS Portview is a seafood restaurant =/
Anyways, Hubby ordered Stuffed Mushrooms and this reminded me of how much I miss Shin's cooking! (Please come back soon and cook for me again!)
However, their Stuffed Mushrooms was so disappointing! The mushrooms used were so smalllllll and not only that, tasted below average also =(
I choosed to have Linguine Seafood in Fish Baullion sauce. It's a type clear sauce and the other option for this pasta dish is red sauce. A very worth trying dish!
Another dish we ordered was Fettucine Carnonara which it tasted much better than the other one which we had just tried out recently in another restaurant.
So, here comes the highlight of the night.
As you all know that parking isn't free at RMS Portview/Fratini as the parking lot is managed by Metro Parking. However, if you inform the restaurant management that you have park your car in that parking lot, the management will issue you free parking voucher which you can just hand it to the Metro Parking's at the exit and leave without paying for the parking fee.
We did the same, informed the restaurant waitress, got the voucher, hopped in Minnie and vrooom to the Metro Parking hut, handed over the voucher to the staff and he said, "$1 please".
We were like wth? The guy then told us that the voucher was meant for 1 hr only and we had parked 2 hours so we needed to pay $1 for the extra 1 hour we had stayed. In other words, we needed more than 1 free parking voucher issued by RMS Portview.
We were angered as this wasn't our first time. Previously we had came to similar situation and which we paid the remaining parking fee as there were cars behind us so it wasn't possible for us to turn back and to get additional parking voucher. Another reason was that after paying bill at the restaurant, we asked the waitress if really just one free parking voucher was enough to cover our 2 hrs parking length time in the car park and she replied "Yes" firmly.
Considered ourselves lucky, there wasn't any car behind us this time and we quickly reversed our car, parked well and ran up to the restaurant and talked nicely to the waitress who issued us the free parking voucher. At first she was kinda reluctant then later we told them this wasn't our first experience anymore so the other waiter issued the additional parking voucher to us and finally apologized.
I know the $1 parking fee might seem small but this is not a money issue. It's the staffs' attitude. She shouldn't have said "Yes" when she wasn't sure of it and what's more this incident happened more than once already. There is seriously lotsa rooms for improvement and they should also discuss with the Metro Parking management to revise the policy for the parking voucher. I believe we aren't the only victims who ever experienced this before.
