Dynasty Restaurant, Gadong

On one sunny Saturday morning, Hubby was craving for dim sum and brought me to try out Dynasty Restaurant. Dynasty Restaurant has been established since I was still young (like 8 or 9 years old..?) and it's well known for their popular late night dim sum buffet.
The dim sum buffet usually starts at around 11 or 11.30pm until around 1 or 2am *I think* and it's only available on Saturday nights or the eve of any public holidays.
This wasn't my first try on Dynasty's dim sum. But my previous dining experience in this restaurant was so long ago which I couldn't even remember why I was there and what was I having.
This time, I was there to try out their well known dim sum.
We ordered different varieties of dim sum such as "Har Kau", fried wan tan, cheong fun, salad prawn and also "Jade Prawn Siew Mai" which is wrapped with green wan tan skin and also "Yi Chi Kau". Not to forget, we also ordered Shanghai Dumplings.
All in all, I wasn't satisfied with the food as it was below my expectations. And if I was to compare, I would say Orchid Garden serves better halal dim sum than Dynasty.

Nur Wanita Thai Restaurant, Kiarong

I'm rather busy lately with stuffs to handle such as going back to campus to settle some stuffs, trying to settle VISA stuffs asap, lotsa outings (World Cup Fever!) and also, I've dedicated much time on playing FB games haha!

These explained the lack of updates. But! As I've mentioned bout having lotsa outings which this also equals to more food reviews. Do stay tune for more updates!

SO.... I visited Nur Wanita Thai Restaurant (which is located at Kiarong Complex, Blk B *I think*) with fellow course mates during the very last day of our exam in May.

It was my second visit to the restaurant. Click here if you wanna read bout my first visit.

As each of us ordered individual rice dishes so I didn't get to try much of the food this time.

I was very indecisive and wasn't sure what to order and I eventually ended up ordering a plate of Fried Rice with Chicken.

Now, when I'm reading my first review on Nur Wanita then only I realised that I've coincidentally ordered same dish for my two visits to the restaurant =S

Thus, I've nothing much to say bout my recent dining experience in Nur Wanita except that the service is really good, friendly staff and food is served in short time, not much of awaiting time for food.

Gathering at Manjaro & Snowhouse

On the last day of May, I attended a mini gathering with fellow course mates at Manjaro Restaurant located at Kiulap (just a few units away from Vincci). It was organised by Joy and Joanne and thanks to them, all of us were able to meet up again!

Why Manjaro? Well, it was because most of us had never visited it before and we also thought it might be a good place to hold our mini gathering.

There are quite a lot of items to be chose from the menu and they are uniquely named; for eg. Kang ordered "Crazy Mushroom" which obviously meant Cream of Mushroom soup and Joanne ordered a dish named "Chicken on fire" which is a chicken dish cooked with Manjaro's special fiery chili sauce.

Also on the menu, I saw this "Make your own grills" category and it got me interested and eventually ordered it. Basically, it's just like a mix-and-match dish where you get to choose the ingredients yourself and each ingredients are charged at different prices.
I chose Lamb + Sauted Mushrooms + Linguine in Pink Sauce + Mushroom gravy and all these added up cost me $18. Expensive I know. But little did I expect three pieces of lamb chops were served with a rather huge portion of noodles on my plate. And the lamb was well grilled, meat was tender and the pasta was delicious! Thus, I would say it's worth the money.

On the other hand, Ein and Joy each ordered a dish named "Mesquite Chicken Chop" which is served with fried and the portion wasn't as much as we thought. Mak ordered Salmon Spaghetti in white creamy sauce and it was well presented and looked really delicious. Kang's ordered BBQ Lamb coated with honey sauce and he was satisfied with it.

Complimentary bun and butter are served to any order of main courses and pasta dishes except for "Make your own grills".

Overall, it was a good dinning experience in Manjaro; nice ambience, fast service and tasty food. It's definitely worth for a return visit in future.
