Bro's 18th & 19th Birthdays dinner

This is a really delayed post. I was supposed to post it up last year during bro's 18th birthday but I didn't know what the heck was happened to me and till now, bro is already 19th, I still haven't blog bout it hahahahaha

So I finally decided to blog bout it and combined bro's 18th and 19th birthday dinners on one entry.

On bro's 18th birthday, we decided to dine it at Emperor's Court and that time I was still using my Sony Cyber Shot hehe from what I remembered, we ordered a few dishes plus Honeydew Sago as our dessert. The food was fabolous! Although it might pricey but come to think, the food portion was actually more than enough for 5 of us. We only ordered 3 dishes by the way.

On his 19th birthday, which is this year, we decided to have our dinner at Nyonya Delima branch. This time there were 7 of us so we ordered five dishes and eventually got a complimentary fruit platters by Nyonya.

Again, the food was great too! Especially their 'Kapitan Chicken', it's my all time favourite ever since Nyonya introduced that new dish to us last year. And also the 'Fried Asparagus with Belacan Sambal' was yummy too! Must order dish!

I was kinda disappointed of the fish though. We actually ordered Curry Fish Head and when it came, we found out that the fish was half cooked. Thus, we told the waitress and she told us the chef would prepare a new fish for us. So when it arrived for the 2nd time, we noticed that the fish was smaller than the first time it was served. Well, I guess it's understandable as during the first time when it was served, we only found out some parts of the fish wasn't cooked after half way of eating it. Therefore, we can't really complain much. However, it was nice of them to give us a complimentary fruit platters as compensation and also once every while, the waiter and waitresses would come to our table and asked if we need any help. Really caring and friendly staffs I must say. This is another reason why my parents like to dine there; we get to enjoy good food with good service.

Alright, till here, gtg out for dinner. Would upload the CNY 2010 pics soon! Stay tune! ^^

KK Road Trip 'Jan 2010 - Last day in KK

Woot, finally have time to update blog.
I was so so packed with tight schedules and reports deadlines but now, I can shout out loud that, I AM FINALLY HAVING MY PRECIOUS HOLIDAYS!!!
Well, it's only a week lar but better than nothing eh~ I really need a 'good' rest!
So today I'll just blog bout the last day of my previous KK trip in Jan.

1) We woke up early in the morning, got ourselves ready and decided to have our breakfast at Heng Long, Warisan Square branch.

2) Ordered Lo Mai Kai (Glutinous rice), Dumplings and Shanghai La Mian. I must say, I love their dumplings to bits! And their soup la mian was yummy too, not that salty and less MSG when compared to La Mee's version.

4) We managed to reach Limbang at around 3-ish and were starving already so we decided to visit Boon Hua to have Kolo Mee. However, it wasn't available. Thus, we ordered Wa Tan Hor, Fried Bee Hoon Wet and Pork Liver Soup. The service was really slow that it eventually delayed our return to Brunei.

Alright, that's all about my KK Trip 2010 Travelogues.

To conclude, I would say that I really enjoyed this trip as I got to visit many places where I didn't manage to visit during my previous trip before this. This has allowed me to know more bout KK and discover its fun. And this trip allowed me to meet Jocelyn for the first time! I miss her so badly T^T
There was also downside which was that I wasn't able to visit any islands as my tight schedule didn't allow me to do so. So, I must must include that in my itinerary for my future trip to KK again ^^

Dim Sum Feast at Emperor's Court, Manggis Hua Ho Mall

Two weeks ago, on a sunny Sunday, we had decided to raid Orchid Garden's Vanda Restaurant for its dim sum buffet. However, upon arrival, we were told that the restaurant was booked for private function. It was kinda sad but nonetheless, there's still another place in town where we could get dim sum buffet.
It's Emperor's Court!
Emperor's Court is located in Manggis Hua Ho Mall and they have this dim sum buffet brunch on every Sunday at the price of $19.50 per adult.
Actually, this wasn't my first visit. I have actually visited it like two years ago and was still using my humble little Sony Camera.
I was so overjoyed that I kept snapping away with lotsa pictures in the restaurant.
But, things didn't go that smooth. When I went home, I tried to transfer the pictures to my laptop, the memory card failed on me and *poof* my pictures were all gone.
I was so sad that I almost "long-piak".
And thank God it didn't happen this time! HAHAHAHA
Ok, Ok, enough ramblings.
By comparison, OGH charges $12.80 per head for its dim sum buffet which is way cheaper than Emperor's Court.
OGH would provide wider varieties of choices on dim sum and meanwhile, Emperor's choices of dim sum aren't that much.
I think the reason why Emperor's is charging at that price is because of its Baked Mussels which was one of the items on the menu and also chicken rice and lotsa varieties on fritters (eg. fried wan tan, salad prawn, sesame balls and etc).
In which, OGH does not serve mussels on their menu and also chicken rice but they do serve Kolo Mee.
Food wise, I would prefer OGH as I feel their food tastes nicer.
So it's really up to you to conclude whether which one is more worth lar.
