After we had visited Taipei 101 Observatory deck, we decided to visit other shopping malls in Xinyi District.
The management was really thoughtful to build a bridge/pathway that connect the Taipei 101 to New York New York building located on 2F. There are also other bridges connecting to Grand Hyatt Hotel and Taipei World Trade Center.

Transport in Taiwan is convenient as taxis are found everywhere
As it was Saturday, crowd was found in every little corner of Xinyi District and I guess another reason could be that New York New York was having closing down sale.
After some walk, we found ourselves between Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A9 and A11. There was also street performance!
I was really famished and this advertisement board had cheered me up as I know I was one step closer to fooooooood!
We headed over to the A9 building as most of the restaurants were located there. The restaurants were located on 6F and there were many choices; Shanghai cuisine, shabu-shabu, Japanese cuisine and etc. These restaurants looked quite classy and prices weren't that cheap but we were really hungry thus we ended up choosing a Japanese restaurant named Saboten which was specialised in serving pork chops.. yea, Pork Chops!
The restaurant was full at that time so we had to wait on the bench for our name to be called. Considered lucky for us as we only waited short while before getting our seats while others who came later than us had to experience longer queue.

During our visit, the restaurant was having Summer Promotional Set (enough for 2 pax) and after getting the price quote and list of food included, we thought it was rather worth and ordered a set. It cost NT$860 for a set and it included Pork Chop (150g), Deep fried Pork Roll, Pork Burger Patty, Lean Pork Chop, Shitake Skewer, Tender Chicken Chop and also some salads, side dishes as well as free flow of cabbage, miso soup and rice. Drinks were also included.

Before our food was served, the friendly staff placed these on our table and explaining to us that we had to ground the sesame seeds. After that, add the special made bbq sauce provided then dip the pork meats in this sauce.

Here come our main course! Picture above is actually an ala carte dish which we ordered as we were afraid the food included in the set weren't enough for the 3 of us but we were so wrong!
The set meal that we ordered; yea i know, all fried food and seemed very unhealthy but it was heavenly delicious so worth it lar plus once in awhile mah!

Although our legs were still feeling tired (despite having sat down for a meal for an hour), we forced ourselves up and continued shopping as we were on a mission. A 'Longchamp bags' Mission haha! A relative of ours asked us to help her get some Longchamp bags and although we knew that Taoyuan Airport does sell it but we didn't wanna risk cause we knew some of the bags were limited edition and might not be available anymore. So we traveled here and there just to find Longchamp store in Xinyi District and finally found it! *tears* A big thank to the helpful staff behind Shin Kong Mistukoshi A9 Information counter!

We had an interesting encounter; after choosing few bags, we wanted to make payment using cash. The staffs were kinda surprised and sincerely told us that it would take her some time as they rarely (actually they said they only got once or twice in a year when customer pay cash O.o) have customers pay cash so they were unsure of how to key in stuffs in their system.
Oh, we were also informed that we were able to claim back the tax ;)

Every time when we used the MRT, we would passed by this stall selling Dorayaki but never got a chance to try out until that night. We bought three:- Red Bean, Swiss Chocolate flavour and Yam flavour. The dorayaki were served cold and cost only NT35 each!
There were 8 different types of flavour available, Red Bean, Peach, Latte and etc!
After purchase dorayaki from the stall, we passed by this restaurant specialised in serving dumplings and we thought we should give it a try! We bought 20 steamed dumplings and 20 pot stickers considering it as our dinner as it was already 8-ish at night and our last meal was 5-ish in Saboten.

I heart this! Taiwanese Potstickers are shaped different from our version which theirs are elongated. But the fillings are most likely the same; cabbage and pork. There are other types of fillings such as beef, kimchi and etc but not from this stall.
In Taiwan, most of their packet or bottled tea are unsweetened, very healthy!
Other than food and beverages, I think this is our only purchase of the day!
