To avoid disappointment, I phoned the restaurant earlier to make reservation in the first place.
The restaurant's business was in brisk when we reached there and it made me felt fortunate that I had called earlier to secure our seats.
The waitress then lead us to our table and to my surprise, we were arranged to sit in one of their VIP rooms where this room contained 3 tables. In other words, we had to share that room with other guests.
Actually, I don't mind this but it just kinda made me felt awkward because the tables were arranged quite close to each other and we could actually overheard the conversations between other guests in that room (oooppps!).
I kinda like their menu as the printed wordings were big and easy to read and there were wide varieties of food to choose from; sushi, sashimi, bento set and many more.
But one down side is that the menu had less pictures. For eg. the restaurant serves few different types of 'agedashi tofu' but only a picture of one particular type was shown in the menu instead a picture for each type.
Another disappointment is that they don't provide jars of wasabi & ginger on the table =(

Tamago Nigiri, $2.50. The tamago was quite tasteless, thumb down.

Futo Maki, $6.80 for 4 pieces which I think it's rather pricey, tasted average
Their version if Agedashi Tofu is different as it's served with tempura sauce instead of teriyaki sauce. It was served as the picture above. Taste wise, I would still prefer if it was served with teriyaki sauce instead.

Gyoza, $4.50. Their gyoza actually tasted not bad, quite nice.

Mixed Furai, $8 which it consisted of lady fingers, crabsticks, prawn and salmon fillet.
The highlight of that night was actually this dish, Hiyashi Special which it consisted of four types of Japanese noodles (soba, udon.....) and other ingredients like thinly sliced cucumbers, crabsticks, tofu skin and mango. The portion was enough for 2.
This dish has similar eating method as Cha Soba which the noodles is dipped into the sauce to flavour it. The sauce had a strong taste of sourness which I guess it was due to the vinegar and it was quite unique and different from other local Japanese restaurants' version (the ones that I had tried). Other restaurants' versions tasted saltier. This dish really made up our day.
Service was quite efficient on that night despite the crowd. A thumb up for newly opened restaurant ;)

Hi, I just thought I'd weigh in and mention that the reason wasabi and ginger isn't given is because in traditional sushi restaurants, one is not supposed to mix wasabi with soya sauce but rather certain dishes are served with wasabi, the wasabi is smeared on the food and then dipped into the soya sauce.
Hi Anonymous, I do agree with what you've said but I guess most of the local Japanese food lovers would prefer to have more wasabi in various types of dishes hehe =D
