I was tempted as I had never visited Saffron before and since there is a 25% discount promotion so Hubby and I decided to give it a try.
Probably cause we were early (around 6.30pm), the restaurant was empty and I believe we were their first customer of that night.
Being unfamiliar with Mediterranean food, we asked for recommendation and ended up ordering Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Fatayer and Mixed Grill as our main.
We didn't order much because we were having another gathering later that night. It was purely just a try out in the restaurant.
Actually, I don't like Vietnamese Spring Rolls cause of the herb/vegies (the ingredients) but Hubby seemed like enjoying it a lot so I supposed Saffron's Vietnamese Spring Rolls tasted quite good.
As for the Fatayer we ordered, it was serve in very pathetic servings. Hubby and I was shocked to see 4 mini samosa served and for that, it cost $4.90. And it didn't taste as good as what I've tried in other restaurant so don't order it (but if you're curious, can try try larrrr~).
The Mixed Grill include 2 Fish skewers, 2 Lamb skewers and 2 Chicken skewers.
And it tasted so gooood (except for the fish skewers which both Hubby and I think it was below average). The Lamb and Chicken meat was really tender and it gave much aroma which just make you want moreee. It's indeed worth trying!
Last but not least, I must say that the prices of the food is just the same as how the restaurant is named; very expensive~~~ (fyi, Saffron is known as the world's most expensive spice). So if you've never visited it but is very tempting to try out, do visit it before their promotions end!
With this promotion, we paid total of $28.80 (after 25% discounted).
