It's always been my dream to step on Formosa (a nick name given to Taiwan) as I've grown up watching endless Taiwanese dramas, movies, tv shows as well as their music. And with Airasia having Taipei added to their flying destination, this had eventually aided me in fulfilling my dream. The only downside was that we had to travel to Taipei via KK route but nevertheless, it was still worthwhile and I get to enjoy in both cities.
I traveled with Hubby and my brother during this trip and we bought the tickets through AirAsia's website on 27th Nov 2009. Being early birds, we were able to grab cheaper tickets.
From Brunei to KK (inclusive of ticket, baggage, tax, convenience fee) = Bnd$61 per person.
From KK to Taipei (inclusive of ticket, baggage, tax, convenience fee, in-flight meal, insurance) = RM394 per person.
I've spent months scheduling my own travel itinerary with lotsa researching being done and I'm glad to say that I managed to follow most of own itinerary. I visited quite a number of places despite my short stay in Taipei (only 4 days and the 5th day I had to leave for KK in the morning).
Do bear with the lack of updates as I've been having troubles with my laptop and also picture editing. There are just sooo sooooo sooooooo many to edit; we took 2000+ pictures using Hubby's dslr and 1000+ using my Lumix LX-3. And I don't wanna miss out any interesting pictures which I wanna share with my readers thus I have to browse, select, edit and upload the pictures. It takes time but I hope you guys wouldn't mind as I would try my best to write up proper travelogues for this trip as I really had so much fun in Taipei and I know many people are visiting it soon (Taiwan is a popular travel destination this year!).
So, if you have any further inquiries, you're welcome to email me and I'll try to help ;)
Alright, let's start up with the Day 1 of my trip which I traveled to KK on 14th July's late afternoon.
I was quite surprised to have Kiat waiting to pick us up at KK airport and he drove us to our hotel in KK which was Promenade Hotel. As our flight to Taipei was scheduled on the next morning (15th Jul) at 6am thus we need a place to rest for a night.
After checking in our hotel, we told Kiat how much we missed Upperstar and he brought us to the nearest branch which is located right opposite to Hyatt Hotel in KK. Thus, if you ever wanna visit it when you're in KK, just try to search for Hyatt and you won't miss it. Or another landmarks are Burger King and Cocoon Bar.

After dinner, we walked to the night market right across the street to feel the sea breeze.
And after strolling for awhile, Hubby said that he wanted to have some dumplings thus Kiat drove us to Seri Selera food court. There we two stalls selling dumplings in this food court and we opted for the hidden one which next to this dumpling were stalls selling satay and grilled chicken wings. We were kinda tired so decided to have these dumplings take away and have it in our hotel room.
Alright, so this is how we ended our day 1 in KK and stay tune for more ;)
