How Food-Hungry began?
It all started on one sunny afternoon when my bf (Hubby) and I (Hunnie) was reading food blogs written by foreign authors. This had then inspired us to create a food blog and share our foodie adventure with everyone!
The name "Food-Hungry" was given by Hubby and his task is to drive me around hunting for food while my task is to snap foodie pictures and blog about it.
Our initial interest was to keep Food-Hungry as a personal blog. As time goes by, Food-Hungry has evolved and tend to put more focus on providing sincere food reviews. Other than food reviews, we do share some lovely moments and interesting encounters which my bf and I have stumbled upon to on Food-Hungry. In this way, we are able to keep Food-Hungry with mixture of elements, such as "personal + specialty" blog.
Who are these people?
In Food-Hungry, there are few names which you must know:-
Hunnie, the author of Food-Hungry
Hubby, partner of the author and also co-owner of Food-Hungry
SKY, the bff of Hubby & Hunnie and also the most popular model in Food-Hungry! He also owns Happy-Stop.
Chee Hwa, the bff of Hubby & Hunnie and also one of the popular models in Food-Hungry!
Ho Wee, another bff of Hubby & Hunnie ^^
Evolution of Food-Hungry's Gadgets
People often ask about the camera we use for snapping foodie pictures. And here's the story.
When we first started this blog, the food pictures were taken using Casio Exilim which back then was only 2mp. In late 2006, Hunnie was gifted new Sony Cybershot W50 camera. Since then the pictures posted from mid 2006 onwards were taken using W50 until Sept 2009.
In Sept 2009, Hubby bought Hunnie new Panasonic Lumix LX3 camera as her 22nd birthday gift. Thus, pictures appearing on Food-Hungry ever since last Sept until now are taken with Lumix LX3. There are also times that the foodie pictures are taken using Hubby's new toy Canon 550D as well as pictures taken by SKY using his camera and other friends' too. This happens during the situation when Hubby and Hunnie both forgotten to bring their cameras. And these pictures would be stated and credited.
Behind the foodie pictures
After foodie pictures have been taken, these pictures would then be transferred to laptop and minimal photoshop would be done to these pictures such as resizing and color adjustments. This is because there are times when the restaurants have really bad lighting and this could lower the pictures quality.
So I think these are the bits and pieces and story behind the creation of Food-Hungry. Hope to get continuous support from you guys! Bon Appétit!!!
