Senja Lounge Grillroom

I've heard quite a few positive comments from people (even years ago!) regarding Senja Lounge but I never had the thought of trying it out until Wee highly recommended us.
So, altogether 11 of us raided Senja Lounge on one Saturday night. All of us were first timers to Senja Lounge except Wee.
When I first entered Senja, the first impression that it gave me was 'dark room'. The lighting was really dark which most of my pictures turned out to be in really bad quality (I didn't use flash btw). Thus, the pictures below are all from SKY (THANK YOU PAL!!!).
Fyi, Senja Lounge is located inside Riverview Hotel. It's just nearby the entrance thus, you wouldn't miss it. It serves Western Cuisine and from what I've heard, it's popular for its dessert, Soufle. It's like a must order to almost every diners there.
We ordered Senja Blue Cheese which was served in clay pot and Calamari Rings as our entrees and some of us had pasta dishes as well as steaks.
The Blue Cheese was really delicious that would keep you asking for more! I would say other than Soufle, this is a must order too! It's enough for 3 persons. Actually, there were like 5-6 of us sharing it but as I said, it's so delicious that I don't think it's enough for that many people already. Might ending have having food war haha
Anyway, Hubby and I had Spaghetti Napolitane and Grill Prime Rack Lamb.
In my opinion, the spaghetti was just average. Nothing to say much about it. Oh btw, Senja Lounge and Capers Restaurants are under same management, if not mistaken.
We had our Rack Lamb grilled to medium-well and the meat was really juicy and tender. It's worth trying.
Let's talk bout the ambience in Senja Lounge.
From what I've noticed, it's a place for gatherings with friends and family. In other words, it's not for couple. During our visit, the restaurant was fully occupied and packed with many patrons and these patrons mostly came in groups, just like us. Thus, it turned out that the restaurant was really 'lively'. If you're looking for a place to have peaceful dinner with your loved one, I wouldn't recommend Senja Lounge.
One more thing to mention is that Senja Lounge is kinda small so if you wish to dine there, I would suggest you to make earlier reservation before getting disappointed when you walk-in the restaurant.
Ciaos!

I went there for xmas eve dinner and was very disappointed. $46 a head!! Come on Karl, what are you on!
Soup was a choice of mushroom or broccolli.
Starter was ok, prawn cocktail. Mains were no choice. you were given a serving of fatty lamb, chicken with little meat, mainly bone and some turkey that was unidentifiable. My wife and I could not eat our dinner and left hungry.
Dessert was a chocolate brownie swimming in oil. Disgusting.
Suffice to say that we will never return to this restaurant. (Dont get me started on the filthy state of the bathrooms and no soap or toilet paper)
This place has been going downhill for years, and I suspect the main reason people go there is because they allow alchohol.
Never again....
