So when I told Hubby about my craving, he brought me to Charcoal to cure my crave.
However this time, we didn't order lamb chop cause Hubby said he wanted to try out Charcoal's steak.
While choosing for which type of steak to order, something caught my eyes.
I came across this steak which cost around $26.90 for 500gm which is enough for 2 persons according to the staff.
Seriously, I didn't know how much is the portion for 500gm. We just ordered it since the staff said it was enough for two plus the steak was actually Wagyu Beef which is something which we both wanted to try for quite long. And we had it grilled to medium rare.
In addition, we were quite starving so we not only ordered the giant steak but also mushroom soup and fettuccini carbonara with lamb topping.
Ended up, we had really really hard time finishing all the food. This is what we called, "Kiang tio hor, mai kei kiang!"
Little did we know how big is the portion for 500gm till it was served on our table.
Both of us almost had our jaws dropped.
But I still feel proud cause we finished all of the food except for the American baked potato which was the side dish. Oh yea, before I forget, the giant steak came with giant portion of side dishes too!
Overall, it was a pleasant dinner as I get to eat meat (till my mouth and teeth was so tired of chewing already haha). The only spoiler was the mushroom soup which I wouldn't recommend you guys to try it out. It just taste so weird lar, made us felt like we were like having oatmeals and not mushroom soup. But I somehow like the presentation of the soup cause letter J is my initial ;)
p.s: as mentioned by fellow reader Lala, i'm actually quite confused whether it was Angus Beef or Wagyu beef which was served. The menu stated Angus Beef but I remember vividly the waiter told me Wagyu Beef. And I've little knowledge on these so I actually did not manage to identify it haha so if there's any misleading information provided, am sorry bout that. Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Here's a video showing Hubby and I measuring the 'width' of the steak using the cutlery.

I went there and ordered the giant steak after reading ur review here hehehe. and it really did say WAGYU beef in the menu. strangely it costs 24.90 tho for mine. And it was juicy and really big.
Wow, that's even cheaper! Be it 'real' Wagyu beef or not, I guess it still worth the money if it's to compare with the prices other eateries offer ^^

yeah, i thought it was really worth it be it real wagyu or not cuz it was really tender too. I'm thinking to go eat it again cuz it's considered quite cheap. Thanks for ur review. U really did a very good job. I won't have known abt the steak (& a lot of other places) if u didn't review it. And I wanna go try the chicken baked rice at the mall too. I think we have similar taste. :) I also love lamb hehehe..
Thanks a lot for your compliment! I just love taking pics of my food before I start feasting on it and share it with everyone! You did really good job on your blog too. Keep it up! ^^
