Ahan Thai & Taman Madu (Hainan Association)

Weeks before exam, I had group revision with my course mates for several times.
During one of the group revision sessions, we met up early in Ahan Thai (the Jubilee Hotel branch located in Kianggeh) and had light breakfast while discussing the preparations and details for our E-Business module presentation.

After hours of struggling with our revision and project, we got hungry but decided to have our lunch in another restaurant. Then Ai Wen introduced us to try out Taman Madu Restaurant which is located at old Gadong area. Taman Madu Restaurant is located at the ground floor of Hainan Association building. It's actually somewhere nearby Jing Chew Kopitiam and Concepts Computer Store.

It was my very first time to dine there (during my previous visits, I was there to attend private functions). If not mistaken, the restaurant was already under new management during my visit and the food selections on the menu was broad. They even served Spaghetti and Baked Rice.
I ordered myself a plate of Buttermilk Chicken Rice and Andrew had Dried Chili Chicken Rice (Gong Pao Chicken). Carmen ordered herself a plate of Spaghetti Bolognaise.
Ai Wen had Baked Chicken Rice (I don't remember what sauce was it served with) meanwhile Ein had Baked Fish Rice in Curry sauce.
I was quite satisfied with my meal and I could tell that the others did too.
What made the buttermilk chicken rice different is that it was sprinkled with toppings which I don't really know what it was but it was sorta like peanuts or probably egg crumbs. It didn't taste weird at all; in fact, it was kinda yummy and tasted good with the buttermilk chicken.
I managed to sample bit of the baked rice from Wen and Ein and I found it not too bad and what made it special was that it was served on the dim sum 'tray'.
Not to forget, we also ordered Honey Dew Sago with portion that serves about 3-4 (there were 5 of us in total). It was quite cheap when compared with other places and that was the reason why we decided to give it a try and it really didn't disappointed us.
The honey dew was fresh and also this dessert was made by using vanilla ice cream but it wasn't that sweet at all. It was really refreshing after having this cold dessert especially during hot weather.
Overall, it was a pleasant dinning experience in Taman Madu and I don't mind making a return visit ;)
