CNY 2010 - Part 4

This entry is about how I spent the last day of CNY 2010 and this year was the first time my dad, bro and I celebrated it without my mom as she was out station. So enjoy ehhh~

Anyways, in the afternoon, Hubby picked me up and we headed to meet up SKY, Leslie, Alan and Yee Nee in CHMS as they were there to catch lion dance performance by CHMS Lion Dance Troupe. It was a nice trip as it had been long time since I last visited CHMS, my old school. Kinda miss the life when I was still schooling in CHMS and I could describe it as relax and wild hahahahaha and I still remember how thick my Sec 1 Maths text book was and I ranked it as the thickest text book I've ever owned :P

On that night, I had family dinner with my uncles, aunties and cousins and of course, my dad and bro. We had our dinner at I-Lotus and ordered the $358 set which included Yee Sang and several dishes as well as dessert. Actually, I was kinda opposed of the idea to dine in I-Lotus as I had really bad experience when I dined there during last Mother's day due to their slow service. I still remember that the appetizers was served after dessert, terror. But since my family wanted to try out their CNY set dinner so I thought maybe I should give it another chance. I would say that this time I was quite satisfied with I-Lotus's service. Most of the dishes were served together (as in 2 or 3 dishes were served at the same time). And I would call myself lucky as we arrived there punctually at 7pm and started 'lou Yee Sang' right away. After that, the first dish was served in about 10 minutes, it was quite efficient. From my observations, those patrons who arrived later (like 8pm) or started late (cause they were waiting for other family members or friends), they had to wait quite long for the dishes to be served.

Foodwise, we all loved the Lotus leaves rice, it was the highlight of that night. I personally love their Pumpkin Butter Milk Prawns. Seriously speaking, the food was all tasty except the dessert. We were quite disappointed with the dessert which was Red Bean with Ice cream and when it arrived, the ice cream was already melted :(

We paid using Platinum Credit Card and received $150 discount and that amount is a lot! So ended up we only paid $200+++ for the dinner ;)
