Mom was really curious bout this newly opened restaurant called Rooster Crow.
And so, I brought her there on the 2nd day when this restaurant was opened.
This restaurant is located just few steps away from Gadong Ahan Thai.
The restaurant was really crowded, as usual.
Bruneians tend to have the habit of raiding any newly opened restaurants or eateries and only would return if they think they have received best service from the restaurant crew or good food.
Thus, to the newly opened restaurants or restaurants that ought to be opened soon, be prepared for the war! haha
I experienced some bad or rather weird service too when dining in Rooster Crow.
Like I mentioned, it was really full and I really thanked god for letting me to bump into Champagne and her friend. They had finished their lunch and were about to leave and when they saw me and my family entered the restaurant, they let us had their seats. Thanks babes!
Alright, so we finally grabbed our seats without waiting long and we were given the menu.
There few types of set meals listed on the menu and after having short discussion with family, we decided to go for it.
Sadly, the waitress told us it wasn't available.
This is the problem that occurs with almost all newly opened restaurants/eateries.
I believe that all of your customers would happy to know that all of the food that are listed in the menu are available and not just this answer, "Sorry Sir/Mdm, we don't have this."
This would really leave bad first impression on most customers.
So Mom and I both ordered a plate of Emperor Steamed Chicken Rice each and Bro had Royal BBQ I think.. I'm not that sure.
I took quite awhile for the food to arrive. Ok, maybe more than that and I could accept that as I know this restaurant is newly opened and maybe their staffs did not have enough experience thus, the food was served late.
The rice was alright but the steamed chicken wasn't that fine cause mom and I both thought it wasn't that cooked. We could still spot pinkie spot on the meat. But that's fine. Newly opened restaurant, so maybe they were rushing to serve the customers and therefore, they didn't notice that the chicken was not well cooked. Maybe.
After we finished our food, bro headed to the cashier to foot the bill.
And when bro told us the total bill, mom and I were kinda surprised and immediately we recalled what we had ordered and recalculated. Then we confirmed, we were overcharged.
Of course we made bro returned to the cashier, explained to the lady behind the counter and got our money back.
So this is my first experience with Rooster Crow.
Lotsa room for improvements again for a newly opened restaurant and hopefully they would survive :)
