KK Road Trip 'Jan 2010 - Day 1

*phew!* I finally managed to finish editing the KK Road Trip pictures smooth and well.
This trip is rather different from my previous trip to KK because I was able to visit quite a few places which I didn't during my previous trip in year 2008.
Other than this, it's also my very first time having a 'window' traveling experience... meaning to say that, I didn't purchase anything for myself!
...and I still couldn't believe it hahaha but I did bought 2 shirts and 1 sweater for mom which she would need for her upcoming trip to Taiwan.

1) First stop at Limbang's Boon Hua Restaurant for breakfast.

2) Ferry that brought us over to the next border, Temburong.

3) Arrived Temburong.

4) After crossing through few places (Trusan, Lawas, Sipitang... etc), we finally arrived KK town!

5) This is Suria Sabah which is a new mall + departmental store in KK town. Nothing much fun there as the mall was still quite empty, there weren't much vendors or stores opened yet.

6) Our first meal in KK - Little Italy

Obviously enough, Little Italy is an Italian Restaurant that serves pastas and pizzas.

We visited the restaurant during lunch time at around 1pm. Thus, we were valid to order their set lunch which was quoted at a more worthwhile price rather than ala carte. There were different types of set lunch and we ended up with a set of pasta set lunch and a set of pizza set lunch.

For the pasta set lunch: Garlic Bread + Soup + Pasta
For the pizza set lunch: Garlic Bread + Pizza + Cappuccino

We had soup of the day and it was Tomato Cream Soup.

The pasta we ordered. It was Fettucini in Salsa Primavera sauce and the sauce contains of white wine. It was really delicious as the pasta was not the instant type which we could get from supermarkets. I believe the noodle was made by the chef.


Hawaiana Pizza; this was really cheesy but not as good as Fratini in my opinion.

7) Dropped by Warisan Square

8) Juice Up

We got thirsty and purchased two fruit juices from this stall.

9) We met up Sis Joyce and had dinner with her family at New Man Tai Restaurant. I must say, the food was superb! Even though we ordered simple dishes like Sweet and Sour Pork and Omelette but it really tasted good and cheap too!

10) Had supper at Tanjung Aru food court with Cousin Kiat.

Ordered 'tongkeng' and satay from stall 1 and Papaya juices from stall 2.

11) Strolled along Tanjung Aru's beach.

Along the beach, we could see many youngsters hanging out with friends, couples dating as well as families with children.

12) Sutera Harbour Resort

Kiat brought us to Sutera Harbour Resort for a visit.

And that's what we did on our first day in KK. Although it was only our first day in KK but I feel that we had visited quite a few places ^^
