Season's Trunch Buffet, Centrepoint Hotel

I know I've been away from blog scene for quite some times so today's post is slightly longer with more pictures to share with you guys.
It actually took place in late May when SKY, Hubby and I finished hiking at Tasek Lama in morning and while resting SKY suggested that we should spoil ourselves with buffet.
And so we choosed Season since it had been awhile since our last visit.
It costs $20 per pax for adults and the buffet starts from 11am to 5pm i think (and we actually stayed there till 4pm!)
There was live band performance and we decided to request few tracks.
So SKY approached the performers and they gave him a thick catalogue with titles of tracks that they knew how to sing.
Each of us then choose one track which were Hotel California, Better man and Every breathe you take. We wrote it down on a piece of paper and SKY passed it to one of the members of the band. When he read the title of the songs we requested, his first reaction was, "SHIT!"
Hahahahaha!
The band tried really hard to play "Hotel California" but they failed... awwww! Then they decided to perform "Every breathe you take" instead. When they finished performing that track, they announced that they were gonna have their break and would continue the performance later.
But they didn't. =(
Anyways, it was really fun afterall! Hahaha

Fratini, Centrepoint, Gadong

Had a great outing with cousins about weeks ago in Fratini, Centrepoint branch as Amy had returned from UK.
The restaurant was having the 50% discount on their pastas and pizzas (I think the promotion is still going on).
Unlike before only selected food items on the menu had 50% discount, this time any items under pastas and pizzas categories are 50% discount in prices.
If not mistaken, the promotion is only available from 10am to 7pm in Centrepoint branch.

Yappy Kopitiam, Kiulap

Replying tags:
Ai ling: Ai Liiiiiiing~ Yeap, I've been to Villa Mauri once last year during the sungkai promotion and I thought the food tasted average only.. But it was a year ago so maybe they have already improved? hehe you try lar then let me know =P Btw, maybe you wanna check out these links.. Josh's Cafe, Brunei Restaurant Review, AnakBrunei.
Zed: Hey there, thanks for dropping by! Well, I rarely go to Bunut Hua Ho so I'm unsure about that Ayam Penyet stall. But Hubby said he did see people ordered it once during one of his visits to the food court and he said the ayam penyet looked tasty ^^
Anna: Thanks for dropping by! =)

A review on some dishes of Yappy Kopitiam which is located in Kiulap.
Btw, Yappy Kopitiam have different special rice dish daily (which is charged $5 per plate) and the portion is enough for two (well, if you're not a big eater).
And... I don't have picture of Yappy's Claypot Fish Head but it tastes quite delicious, worth trying ;)

Photobucket
Mango Chicken Rice - Tasted not bad; worth trying.

Photobucket
Sambal Prawn Rice - Mom ordered this and said the taste is average.

Photobucket
Gung Pow Chicken Rice - Yappy's version is not topped with cashew nuts but never mind cause i'm not a fan of cashew nuts anyway. Hmm.. to me, i think it's not spicy enough otherwise it could be much tastier.

Photobucket
Ginger Onion Chicken Rice - Bro ordered this and I managed to steal a piece of chicken from his plate. We then concluded that this dish tasted quite bad and we would never order it again.

Photobucket
Butter Egg Chicken Rice - Can't remember much if this dish as I wasn't the one who ordered it. But it does look good.

Photobucket
Pineapple Chicken Rice - It's one of the dishes in the 'Today's Special Menu'. The sauce tasted good and refreshing; another worth trying dish =)

The Singapore Table, behind Hasbullah Building (Gadong)

Weeks ago when mom and I finished window shopping at R&T showroom, we saw the signage of a new restaurant called "The Singapore Table" and I went "errrr... unique name."
Since then, mom often suggested that we should give this new restaurant a try and so I fulfilled her request.
The restaurant is divided into two zones which are indoor (equipped with air-conditioners) and outdoor.
The dishes on their menu are only available in one size and according to the waitress, it's usually enough for four to five persons (I'd considered it as "M" size).
When I saw live crabs inside the fish tank, I immediately recalled that Shin actually mentioned this restaurant to me before! Ahh, forgetful me. She said she was told that the signature dish of this restaurant is Chili Crabs but we didn't order it.
Instead, we ordered Sambal Kangkung, Curry Fish head and Claypot Beancurd.
The overall dining experience was fine but the drinks are very pricey!!!
