During summer, not only students studying in UK came back home for long vacations, students from other places like OZ were also having short holidays. This has allowed me to meet many old pals and Soon Tiong was one of them.
We have known each other since primary school and have been in the same school until I transferred to another school during secondary 3.
Now, we are still in contact even though we are already in our early twenties!
There are some more friends which I don't really see them around anymore but I still manage to learn some bits bout their recent updates. Thanks to Facebook! haha
So a few days before Soon Tiong left Brunei for OZ to end his short holidays, he held a mini gathering at his place.
I must say, his parents are really friendly! They kept us accompany, in case we needed any help. And Soon Tiong's dad shared some of his life experiences during the bbq session. Meanwhile, his mom kept bringing us good food and drinks! I felt really thankful =)
We weren't bbq-ing using the old traditional method. Instead, we were using the electrical bbq grill pans which we all found it quite convenient as there is much attention needed when bbq-ing the chicken wings and the color turned out really nice. And yummy too!
I also get to try out grilled lamb marinated with curry powder. It was so new to me as usually we would just marinate the lamb with bbq sauce and honey. Curry powder is considered new flavour to me.

Chicken wings
The lamb and pork was placed on the top grilling pan while the chicken wings were placed on the lower grilling pan. Look at the pic below to have clearer look on the pan ;)
